You may have received this notice from ShipStation.
"Expiration dates are being added to ShipStation API keys. Your existing keys will expire on MM/DD/YYYY. To rotate your API key and avoid service interruption, please follow the instructions in this article."
Step 1:
Changing or updating our API Keys is a very easy process. You will need to know your login for ShipStation and Hyperspace.
First login to your Hyperspace account and view the current API Key.
Go to your Account Settings tab on the top right.
Using the orange arrow keys scroll to the tab called: ShipStation Settings
At the top of the screen you will see an API key and API Secret that looks like this:
Note the API Key or at least the last few characters at the end.
Step 2:
Login to your ShipStation account
At the top right corner click on the icon that looks like a Gear.
On the left side of your screen, go to Account > API Settings
Select V1 API from the drop down menu.
You should see your existing API keys for all of the different applications you connect to. It will look similar to this.
The ending characters of one of them should match the same ending characters as the API Key in Hyperspace.
You can click the TRASH icon to remove it or leave it alone. It doesn't really matter because we are going to create a new one anyhow with a new expiration date.
Click on the Generate API Key button
Select 12 months and click Generate.
At this stage copy the API key and API Secret into your Hyperspace account. Replace the 2 old values we reviewed in Step 1 in Hyperspace with the new ones.
That's it. You have updated Hyperspace with the new ShipStation API Token!
