Omnichannel Loyalty Integration with Heartland Retail

Heartland Retail integrates with several third-party loyalty solutions, enabling customers to earn and redeem points both online and in-store. If you're using an eCommerce platform like Shopify, you can implement one of these supported solutions to activate omnichannel loyalty for your business:

Duplicate Loyalty Points for Online Orders?

In some cases, customers may receive loyalty points twice for a single online order—once from the eCommerce platform and again when the order syncs into the POS. If you're using one of the integrated loyalty solutions listed above, your Hyperspace settings can prevent this by excluding online-originated orders from earning points again in the POS. This ensures customers receive loyalty points only once per transaction.

If you’re using a loyalty solution that is not one of the two above and therefore not integrated through Hyperspace, we do not control that connection. In such cases, the third-party loyalty system may be applying rewards to all POS sales, including those originally generated online.

We recommend asking the loyalty provider the following questions:

  1. Can loyalty points be excluded for Sales Orders created in the POS?

  2. Can Sales Orders with a specific SOURCE value (e.g., Online) be excluded from earning points?

They may also offer other configuration options to help resolve the issue.

Please note that the fix must occur within the third-party loyalty system. Hyperspace will not be able to make those changes since we do not manage that integration and cannot add new features to it.
